Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias, A Trademark All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"The food wasn’t very good. Good enough to get by for a short stay but that’s about it. Bar staff were great and prepared drinks quick but they were really lacking. Very basic. Cleaning staff were very nice but no extras in the room or mini fridge. No pool service for food or drink. Not a bad resort so long as you know ahead of time what you’re going to get. Check in and out were a breeze. Very uncomplicated, front desk staff were very prepared "
Hotel Riu Palace Pacifico - Adults Only - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.7/5)
As Canadians visiting Puerto Vallarta, we had a fantastic stay at Riu Palace Pacifico. This is a beautiful, adults only resort that really delivers great value for a 5 star RIU property.
The resort itself is stunning, well maintained, and has a relaxing atmosphere. It’s definitely not a party resort, more geared toward unwinding and enjoying the experience. The crowd was a nice mix, with many 50+ guests but also plenty in their 30s and 40s.
One thing worth noting: while most staff were excellent, some room service staff had limited English. When ordering food, especially with allergies (I have a kiwi allergy), things didn’t always translate clearly, which could be a concern for some guests.
The location is a bit far from the Malecón, but it’s still worth the trip if you want a quieter, more upscale stay.
The spa was a bit underwhelming compared to others, but the four colored tents on the beach offering massages for around $40 USD were amazing and highly recommended.
Also, a small but impressive detail, the lobby washrooms were kept in absolutely perfect condition (10/10) at all times.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back if Puerto Vallarta is on our list again."
"Breakfast was good, but choices were limited. There was no snack bar that you can go to anytime of day or night. Of all the restaurants that we had dinner at, the best was Los Olivos while the worst was n̈the one on the 7th floor.
The steak was not good and the grilled salmon did not look or taste grilled.
Overall, service was good. Staff were.friendly "
