Nous allons au Marival depuis 8 ans pour l’Anniversaire de mon conjoint.Hier ce fut une grande déception.Les restos n’offrent plus la qualité et le service d’autrefois. Nourriture froide, serveur inexistant.Le buffet réduit de moitié avec un choix limité. Une seule personne pour faire le service de boisson autour de la piscine ce qui est irréaliste. Les chaises de la piscine ne sont pas entretenues convenablement. La chambre était propre et bien équipée,les chaises en bois sur le balcon n’étaient pas confortables. Maintenant ,l’arrivée se fait à midi,sinon il y a une charge de 350 pesos par adulte .La chambre est disponible pour 15 hr comme partout ailleurs.Le départ est pour 11 hrs ce qui me semble tôt comparé à d’autres hôtels.Si vous avez un vol en fin journée on vous autorise à profiter de l’endroit pour un autre 350 pesos. L’ensemble de l’endroit est ok sans plus, nous avons été très déçu car nous aimions beaucoup cet hôtel et l’avons recommandé à plusieurs reprises. Je me dois de spécifier que l’hôtel nous a permis l’entrée avant midi pour l’anniversaire de mon conjoint,mais nous ont mentionné que c’était seulement pour cette fois-ci.

Super clean and wekk kept up resort. Just the right size of not mega but still has variety of restaurants, pools, ambiance, and activities. A weakness is that the food is just okay. Main buffet is a whirlwind without a lot of options and often food was empty/running out. Not a lot of flavors. Overall the resort is a great family destination.

Overall pretty good resort for families. Well maintained. Resort is on the beach which is pretty clean. Pools were great. Enough dining options but not too many, should be ok for not fussy eaters. We tried Italian restaurant and service in there was great. We tried Japanese restaurant and service in there was not great. Many people there do not speak English so at times can be difficult to find or get stuff. There is pizzeria open till 12 at night which is great. No dedicated cafe though on the resort and there was no good coffee anywhere on the resort. There is Starbucks on the resort. Decent value for money.

Clean room, staff was friendly, great breakfast buffet. The only thing is the lunch area by the pool mainly catered to kids - hamburger, pizza, hotdogs, etc. I with they had an area for tacos and other Mexican food items. Overall though, this resort is great for families.

Pros: Heated kids pool Heated pool Grounds clean Cons: Customer service is terrible- no greetings, no smiles from most of the staff. Total 3 staff actually smiled the rest looked unhappy. Rooms are outdated The faucets were loose and squeeky Water pressure on the sink was weak Reservation process is inefficient where you have to book the day before and early in the morning. Food was not good Pool restaurant required you to be dry to enter so there is no food access until you're dry. Beds were hard.

If you are not a member or “socio” of their hotel their customer service is horrible. They have preference for their members- so you cannot enjoy 3 sections of the hotel if you are a non-member. Their check-in/out process is poor- only 1 or 2 receptionists available. They offer “day passes” thus an overflow of people in the resort. Not too much selection in their “buffet” area in addition to food was at room temperature. Rooms need to be updated- I stayed in building 10 ( per staff it’s one of their original buildings) which was attached to water pump room which always sounded like you were on an airplane. Lastly, we go to relax for our vacation-mowing the grass at 7 am?? Really?!!!

Our stay was disappointing. Check-in took over 45 minutes with staff who seemed overwhelmed and unfriendly, followed by a very pushy membership sales pitch insisting everything is “basic” unless you upgrade. Although we arrived at 3:00 PM, we didn’t receive a room until after 9:00 PM. The first room assigned was still dirty from the previous guest, causing further delays. The resort felt overcrowded, the mattresses were old and uncomfortable, and noise levels were consistently high due to loud pool music and a wedding on the property. The photos on the website do not match the current condition of the resort. The property looks worn and outdated, as if the pictures were taken many years ago. Food was just okay. The only true positives were the nightly shows and the activities staff, who were genuinely engaging and enjoyable.
