"Great hotel! Rooms were clean and beds were sooooo comfortable. Location is near many stations (shijo-Gion to the south and Sanjo to the north). Close to the river and other historic neighbourhoods. Honestly an ideal home base for your Kyoto adventure. Staff is attentive and friendly and the hotel and area are quiet. We didn’t opt for the Japanese style breakfast but we saw them in the morning and they looked good."

"The location is wonderful, nice rooms, not too small, only a 5-minute walk to Nishiki market and lots of restaurants and shopping. Sanjo station (to Fushimi Inari Taisha) is a 12-minute walk and Karasuma Oike Station (to Kyoto station) is a 8-minute walk away."

"Outstanding breakfast - worth the money. Very friendly staff. Zen public bath. Convenient location for seeing Kyoto and surrounding. We ended up extending our stay here for an extra night to enjoy Kyoto a little longer. Will be recommending to friends that are visiting. If you get the breakfast, arrive early. It gets busy after 8 am on weekend. "
