Sandals Royal Bahamian - ALL INCLUSIVE Couples Only
10/10 Excellent
"We had an amazing time at Sandals. The staff were absolutely fantastic and we loved every minute of it. Food was great and the pool was warm and clean! Definitely coming back next year!"
"The resort was really nice and great for groups and families but the prices you pay for the quality is not good. My tequila soda and turkey sandwich which was very subpar costed me $60 which I think is insane. They also add a service charge and VAT tax to every transaction which makes it worse. Some staff was exceptionally great while others were very rude. Casino was so fun and overall nice place, just very expensive for average quality "
"The service was sub par at best. We received a packet with a map of the resort, restaurant/bar hours, and events for each day. On 2 different days, the bar on the 4th floor at thE pool was closed when they should have been open. The bar on the first floor outside was also closed one day when it was supposed to be opened. The Feeding Frenzy at the pool was closed one afternoon when it was supposed to be open. My husband and I went to have dinner at Wasabi Joe's restaurant inside the resort and they were closed, even though they were supposed to be open. One morning for breakfast the toaster oven was broken so we couldn't get a hot breakfast. We were told to go to the hotel next door to get breakfast. Every time we asked about bar and restaurant hours at the front desk, we got handed another brochure of the resort and were told to refer to that for hours. I told them I was using all 3 of the brochures I was given for hours listed, yet things were constantly closed. They couldn't give an answer. The pool was out of towels. I asked 3 different people working the resort if they could restock. No luck! We ended bringing out room towels. The pool was supposed to do a 1 hr. spin wheel getting towels. The girl packed up and left 32 minutes in to this. we watched through the elevator window as we were heading down. Several times we were told the bars and restaurants were out of food and or drinks we wanted. Shower hot water was an issue. Waste of money for thousands spent! Never again!"
"We had a standard room, queen bed. The room was quaint with a large bathroom. Very clean, unfortunately no balcony but the windows did open.
The hotel is absolutely stunning (and if you’re an OG 007 fan, you’ll notice a few filming spots) it has a decent size pool and a lovely beach. We stayed from Thursday to Saturday and didn’t have any trouble securing a shaded chair, until Saturday afternoon, when it got busier.
Short walk to explore downtown and to Junkanoo Beach, we ate at the Salty Crab and the cracked conch was amazing! The beach was very busy as it was Sat and a lot of people from the cruise ships spend their day there.
Staff at the Colonial were so friendly! A huge perk was that we were able to store our bags for the day and still had access to their beach! "
"Spacious and clean room, we had booked the one bedroom with kitchenette, which did come in handy to make a quick breakfast before heading out. There was a bit of a musty smell upon arrival but not a deal breaker, and was gone after we got settled in and let some air through the room. Bed was very comfortable, good shower pressure (water has a bit of a sulphur smell- normal for Bahamas), & AC worked perfectly!
We did grocery shopping at the Marina Village Grocery store and at the Sawyer Market (by Margaritaville) both are about a 5 minute walk. We would recommend shopping before you get to Paradise Island as both of these markets/groceries were expensive.
The shuttle is a great help in getting to the other Atlantis properties, as it is about a 10-15 min walk to the Atlantis resort.
We didn’t spend time at the Harbourside pool because we were at Atlantis all day, but it looked like a pretty big and nice pool, with a family atmosphere.
Staff were all so friendly and welcoming! Definitely will be coming back to stay at Harbourside Resort! "
Warwick Paradise Island- All Inclusive- Adults Only
10/10 Excellent
"The Warwick is a great hotel. The staff are very friendly and super helpful. You can tell they all enjoy working there and that they work as a team. Loved that its adult only and all-inclusive.
The hotel is older and a little tired. Could use a bit of an update. Having said that, it is clean and the staff make up for any shortcomings. The food is good quality and there is plenty. There is a private beach which we enjoyed. We noticed that most other hotels do not have private beach access or they have access to beaches that are rough and not swimmable. The property was set up well and there was plenty of seating around the pool, beach and dock for everyone. The activity team was great and made all activities super fun. The servers in the dining room, restaurants and at the pool bars were very attentive and, after a few days, remember your favourite drinks. We would definitely recommend the Warwick.
The resort is in a nice area with shopping close by. It's also only 30 minute walk to downtown shopping area. About a 10 minute walk to Atlantis shops and hotel which are worth visiting. Check out the Dilly Dally Cafe - excellent drinks and cool atmosphere.
We recommend Warwick at Paradise Island."
Hotel Riu Palace Paradise Island - Adults Only - All Inclusive
2/10 Terrible
"I’m giving Riu’s Paradise Palm on Paradise Island just one star. The service was disappointingly average, and staff lacked genuine friendliness toward guests. The rooms were mediocre at best—old furniture, stained sheets, and worn-out beds. Shockingly, you couldn’t even take a simple burger down to the beach—an odd and frustrating rule. The pool area was visibly run-down as well. For such a pricey stay, the overall experience was far below expectations. The only saving grace was the food in the restaurants. Other than that, I wouldn’t recommend it."
