"We had stayed at the Athens Gate Hotel in the past and enjoyed it very much. The rooftop patio and restaurant offered a great selection of delicious cocktails and meals along with a great buffet breakfast. The views from the restaurant are spectacular! The Acropolis and Parthenon are visible from one side and the Temple of Zeus from another. Within walking distance to a pedestrian walkway offering souvenirs, drinks, gelato and more. Restaurants are aplenty along the way as well as the Acropolis Museum further up. Hop On Hop Off buses are also close by. Staff are simply amazing! Helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. Check in went smoothly despite people checking in and out, cruise ship passengers coming and going. A comfortable seating area was available while we waited for our room to be ready which was made accessible to us prior to the 3pm check in time. Room was clean with comfortable beds, a large clean washroom and a view of the Temple of Zeus. A welcoming bottle of a nice white wine awaited us, courtesy of the hotel manager. As they say it is “your home in Athens.”"

"It's perfect if you're visiting the accropilis and museum. The gift shop around the corner has the best prices and the nearby restauran Greek stories is one of the best. Easy walk to Platka great dining and music and rooftop views. Get take away. Sit on the rooftop and watch the sunset....perfect"

"The room was clean. The rules were written out exactly for you. If you use the towel or requested an extra towel, there was an extra charge, extra charge for having the sheets changed earlier than three days. The closet situation was very poor, we finally requested a chair in our room as there was no chair to sit on. The staff was nice and helpful. The rules got to us. Would I stay there again, no. There also was no breakfast included and instant coffee in our room."

"Stayed 6 nights in family suite. Our room was good with everything we needed. Breakfast was good. Laundrymat on 1st floor next door was very convenient. Location was great! It was close to all the attractions we visited and with a lot of eating options nearby. We had a great stay!"

"Very nice hotel in a great area close to Acropolis and the vibrant Plaka area. Staff is very nice and the roof top bar is a bonus with a view of Acropolis. Breakfast was very good with nice choice of options."
