Dover Beach Hotel
8/10 Good
"The beach from where i was was poor.
Shuttle bus from airport was a no show
The shower needs grab bars for seniors in case of slippage in the shower.
Side walks need an area where seniors can drag luggage as is we have to lift or depend on staff or drivers to lift. At entrance to check in to hotel Just 1 grade from hotel to street. "
"Loved the resort and the vibes. I will say we had a disappointing experience at Azzure restaurant when we were 10 min late to our reservation for our anniversary dinner and were told that the chef had left because they didn’t think we were coming and no one bothered to contact us. The hostess was unapologetic and unable to offer us anything and most of the other restaurants were closed at 9 pm which was terrible. Otherwise everything else went smoothly."
"Front Desk Staff-Amazingly friendly and helpful. Clean rooms, beach-front perfect. Restaurant service could use a bit more training. Servers were slow to assist and a few drink and food orders were missed. Overall, 10 out of 10, especially hotel pricing. Evidently April is off-season, so I lucked out!"
"This is a brand new hotel, with nice amenities and decoration. Lots of staff standing around, especially in the restaurant/front desk area...
The "low note" is that you should not expect to swim too much on the beach in front of the hotel. Water was quite choppy and beach bottom layered with rocks, with sea urchins regularly washing ashore... (wear good beach shoes!)"
"The food at the hotel is a really good standard especially given that it is all inclusive. There is food almost constantly from 7am through to 10pm should you want it. The location is excellent, right next to Bridgetown and Pebbles beach and a short drive to oistins.
Only small issue is that after the evening entertainment finishes at 11pm the hotel is very quiet
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it "
