Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport - Directly connected to Haneda Airport Terminal 3
2/10 Terrible
"The hotel itself is very nice, but unfortunately the service level was extremely poor.
We waited 3 hours and 45 minutes for our room, despite a confirmed check-in time of 3:00 PM. Traveling with kids made the long wait especially difficult, and there was no prioritization or accommodation offered for families.
When we were finally assigned a room, it was the wrong room, and it had not been properly cleaned. There was also a noticeable musty smell, which made the experience even more disappointing.
Overall, the staff’s level of service and attention to detail was not acceptable for an airport hotel. Based on this experience, I would not recommend staying here."
"Restaurants:
The staffs in the bar were not helpful at all. We are vegetarians. We could hardly found any food for vegetarians in the bar. They were not keen on making a vegetarian pizza. Most of the time they don’t understand English. We had to use Google translate.
Generally the staffs in restaurants are not user friendly. The food options provided wouldn’t welcome vegetarians/ vegans.
Property:
Too expensive
The hotel room was tiny, hardly any space to manoeuvre.
The property is clean overall but some rooms emits bad odours. We got our room changed.
The bell boys are helpful.
Transportation:
The hotel is in a convenient location. Easier to get to two train stations that connects to many areas. Taxi is available from the bottom of the hotel within the same building makes it very convenient to travel around.
Overall:
Location: excellent
Restaurants: good for non-vegetarians;
Not good for Vegetarians but options available nearby.
Staff helpfulness: mixed
Property look: good
Would I stay again: yes if I can find vegetarian eateries nearby
Price: Too expensive"
"This hotel needs to update its presentation on Expedia - I picked it because a) the rooms look great - most photos show a large bed b) they say they have a public bath and c) it's close to Tokyo Big Sight -
BUT - after checking in a) I discovered I had unknowingly booked 'run of house' which means they gave me a room with two small single beds which was nothing like the photographs shown b) the public bath is US $15 per day and in the mall next door (which would be ok if that was made clear when booking because it is a nice spa) and c) yes, it's still close to Big Sight -
Had to really make a bit of a fuss about how the presentation on Expedia was misleading before they changed me to a room with a large bed - but smaller room with no place to put a suitcase.
Attitude of front desk staff was that I had made the 'error' when I booked but IMO the site is misleading.
For value, convenience, free public baths onsite I'll stick with APA hotels moving forward - and even though those rooms are even smaller, they enable you to store stuff under the bed."
"Great stay. We stayed just one night. Their corner high floor rooms have spectacular views and are very comfortable. The room isn’t huge, but not as small as some Tokyo rooms we’ve stayed in. All in all a great stay. We’d definitely stay at an Apa hotel again in the future. "
