"I arrived at reception with my partner,the young woman at reception had said our room was ready which was ideal,whilst checking us in she was more concerned about talking to the other male member of staff who had been out in Edinburgh all night previously during the week and went straight to work according to himself,we had paid extra for room with sea view but because she was distracted she put us in a basic room with view of work being done to the rotunda,we went down and asked for a refund of the sea view which we got but overall if she had paid attention we would have been put into the correct room as we were still in a basic room. Red sky bar was lovely at night and worth going to and the facilities in the hotel were good but sadly the checking in experience would mean I wouldn’t advise anyone to visit!!"

"Room not very clean. Shower temperature control broken - resulting in only very hot water. Staff failed to be helpful to elderly guests re luggage or hotel information. QR code led us only to a solicitors business to sign up to - we didn’t! Parking nearby if lucky - we were lucky. Breakfast good."
