Good location close to local amenities. Parking opposite costs £12 for an overnight stay. Reception staff were friendly. The bedroom and bathroom were very dated and could do with renovating. Bedding was clean but was stained in several places. Pillows very flat and could do with replacing. Tea and coffee facilities with biscuits in the room which was a bonus. Acceptable for a 3 star hotel for a one night stay

Does the job, close to bars shops station, room was small but clean, inside of my duvet was dirty, buffet brex was ok, nice view of canal, but timing it for the fresh stuff is an art, most of mine was dried out, fresh bread or a toaster would be handy, all the staff i dealt with were 10/10.

Hotel is well located for the city with a convenient car park. All the staff we came into contact with were lovely, polite and helpful. The room was clean as was the bathroom but everything is very dated. The bed was very uncomfortable. The shower head was held up with cable ties and an elastic band! There was an average choice at breakfast, all nicely cooked and hot.

Good room -very clean . Nice to have a canal view .The Spa pool was fabulous. The hotel felt quite basic however for a 4 star hotel . No room service food available .No basic toiletries like soap/ shower gel or shampoo provided. There was no relaxing lounge area with sofas to sit in & enjoy -just a bar area with tv that was quite noisy . The staff were all very welcoming & friendly however . The hotel is in a good location-well positioned for walking into Chester’s city centre .

Really good location, friendly welcome. Breakfast good and freshly cooked albeit always the same. Didn't eat evening meal there but plenty seemed to be enjoying their meals. Rooms were comfortable and spacious Spa very nice and staff were lovely

I visited with my 4 yr old granddaughter. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The prices for food and drinks in the bar were average. Everywhere was clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was a bit cramped xnd it would have been nice to have more variety i.e mushrooms and veggie sausages. Overall a plesant stay

Room was small, dated ( not a huge issue) and the wallpaper dirty and scruffy, the room was dusty. The bathroom was again very small, dated, the shower was a nightmare to get right, water pressure was good. Again dirty behind tap fittings and wall fan. We could hear the neighbours snoring so walls are fairly thin. Bed was very comfortable and plenty of t.v channels. The pool was ok, not the cleanest. Location good but beware if you drive here it's 12-15 pound to park in the hotel.

Bed & pillows rock hard...bad night sleep. Lots of banging of draws from next door early morning...woke us. Breakfast.... scrambled egg cold, mushy sausages & solid cooked tomato. Room very hot & stuffy, depite window open & fan on!

Toilet area incredibly small so if you are average build it’s a squeeze! For our first morning we were told that breakfast was only available at 1000 - no other options - which was a late option. When we got down at 0945 the dining room had plenty of seats. Breakfast is average at best.
