非常棒的体验

早餐提前在前一晚填好单子，第二天早上房东会按时现做的，非常新鲜美味的食材。 Chris非常热心帮忙女士提行李箱到位于3楼的6号房间。 门口小路上可以停车，或者停在院子里。房间虽然不大，但舒适整洁。 整个住宿环境体验非常棒。

Wonderful place! The car parking is free, the room is clean and comfort, and the breakfast is really good. Only 10 minutes walk to the lake and 20 minutes walk to Windermere town center. I definitely want to be there again.

Nice place with reasonable price

It's a very nice family owned place. We liked it a lot and will definitely recommended to friends coming to the area. However, if you like eating warm food in the morning you might want to purchase some from shops near by. Oakford provides a plate of cooked breakfast and cold cereal and juice buffet but we like hot food in the morning so we did not feel full . This is just a head up, not a complain.

很不错的酒店，就是有点小贵

最近的巴士站距酒店只有二三十米，距到火车站的巴士站也只有五十米左右，交通很方便，使用一日票或者家庭票坐巴士也很合算。酒店很干净，床也很舒适。但WIFI不是很好，虽然信号满格，但不一定有流量。另外，一把钥匙可以开外面的大门，中门，以及房间门，不知道会不会还可以开其他房间的门？

酒店的主人素质非常低下

订的大客房，按两个成人订的。因为计划有变需要加两个小朋友一起入住，提前跟酒店老板发邮件问可不可以加两个孩子，可以升级房间或同样房间多加两个人的费用。结果订单直接被取消，而且一大早把140英镑房费给刷了。没有电话通知，只是发了个邮件说订单取消了，房费也收了。我一天在路上，根本不可能随时查邮件，直到傍晚要往酒店赶才发现这个巨大变故。一个周五的晚上，而且在繁忙的季节繁忙的湖区公园陌生的国度，这种变故让我们太措手不及了。我至少还可以住两个人，另外两个人再在附近找个小房间。可是他们竟然直接把订单取消了。我们后来只能在很远的地方找到一个家庭B&B，住下已经夜里十点多了，晚饭都没吃。幸亏主人非常热情，从自家厨房拿出肠子面包牛奶等给我们做晚饭，而且不肯要钱。因为这件事，整个湖区的游览都打乱了。第二天起的晚，路远又下雨，基本湖区啥也没干。跟hotels.com投诉，信誓旦旦会去联系店家讨回公道并亲自给我回电话和邮件，可到现在一点音讯都没有。太不靠谱了。而且hotels.com也不是直接跟酒店有对接，似乎是Expedia的代理。转来转去，效率低下费用高不说，客户的利益毫无保障。

Clean room (although there were cobwebs around light and ceiling). The picture on the website showed a much nicer and larger room, therefore, we were very disappointed with such a small room that was three flight of stairs up and no lift - my husband struggled with this (due to his knee operation). The owners were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good. Parking was restricted as you had to find your own space on the road or at the time we were there, there were a few spaces to use, in the car park belonging to some flats next door. The pool was the biggest disappointment - as this was actually based at the MacDonalds hotel (in the town about 10/15 min walk away) and when we got to the B&B we were told the normal procedure is to book a day in advance! We got to the MacDonald hotel, but we were unable to park there (£25 parking fee) so went to look for somewhere else to park. By the time we managed to get somewhere we were running out of time to be able to swim and get to the next activity we had booked. Also, given that the hotel receptionist was dismissive and unwelcoming - we decided to give it a miss! This was such a disappointment as the main reason for booking this B&B was the advantage of being able to go for a swim! Overall, the whole experience of staying at this B&B was disappointing.

Booked this Hotel for my Dad to stay at whilst he went around the Lakes for a couple of days on his Motorbike. He absolutely loved the Hotel. He said the Hotel itself was lovely and the breakfast was gorgeous! Thank you so much for giving my Dad a lovely, well deserved night away ❤️

Lovely hosts and welcome, we were able to check in early which was really appreciated on a cold day in January. Everything was sparkling clean, and the cooked breakfast and other breakfast options were all really good quality. Cherry on the cake was the included use of leisure facilities at the Old England. Really enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

Great place to stay in The Lakes. Chris and Robyn are lovely hosts. Breakfast choice is nice and freshly cooked. Room was very nice. Nice residents lounge. Free parking. Easy walk into Bowness for the shops, bars, pubs and restaurants. Great base to explore the beautiful Lake District. Would happily stay here again.

We had a lovely two-night stay. The house is very nice, our room was warm, spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent with lots of options. The location was excellent for Bowness shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, plus Lake Windermere too, with a 10-minute walk. We would definitely stay here again.
