Always love 14west. This was my first time staying in the South tower. I really appreciate the early check-in that happened to be available upon our arrival. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful. While the North rooms are a bit more boutique hotel, the South is a little more cozy motel. The grounds are pretty and the pool is nice. Also, appreciate the morning coffee in the lobby. They also offer Bagels and cereal complimentary.
Walking distance to everything fun to do in Laguna, including rental chairs for the beach.
If I had to list a complaint, it would be the accessibility with the stairs. The lobby is on the second floor and we were staying on the ground floor. Getting to the room either required going up the stairs from outside to the lobby and then going back downstairs across the property to get to our room or accessing from the parking lot which was a flight of stairs down which was a little harrowing with luggage.
The North tower is also one flight of stairs.
I would absolutely recommend this property and stay again!
