The room was not fully cleaned when we arrived. The bed was horrible to sleep on. The springs were sticking out of the top. Very uncomfortable. There was no internet and no TV. We were not able to watch the news even. A lot of money to spend in a big city to not have the basic things. I don’t know if I’d stay at this place again. It did serve the purpose of a having a place to sleep tho, I expected more. The garden is very pretty. The staff were polite.

The staff were very friendly. Our room was not cleaned properly and the bedding was missing sheets and just didn’t seem all put together. Definitely has the bare minimum for a hotel room if that works for you, the location was great.

Checked in and the AC was broken. Room was 82 degrees. It was late, so t we were offered fans, but due to asthma, we were unable to stay. We checked out 20 min later and now have to fight for a refund.

Great location. Staff always ready to assist. Rooms are spacious and large. The rooms and general hotel need attention - maintenance is lacking, nicks and scuffs go unfixed and as a result end up becoming bigger issues. ALS rooms very basic. No cups, coffee, tea etc. no fridge in room although they said there is a fridge in each room.

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits. Immeuble sympa, mais l'ancien hôtel boutique qu'il était reste bien dans le passé. Aujourd'hui, un hôtel budget, des chambres sympas mais les services au mini-minimum. Ménage qui veut bien vider les poubelles et changer les serviettes si besoin mais pas pour passer une éponge dans le lavabo. Nous avons fait un petit effort de recouvrir notre lit en sortant, il n'était pas touché de plus en rentrant. Pas de restaurant, pas de machine à café, mais une fontaine à eau (et eau chaude) à la réception... quand il n'y a pas de panne des goblets en papier (comme pour notre deuxième nuitée). Sinon, situation sis au 42e street et 10e avenue. Plutôt Hell's Kitchen que Hudson Yards. Mais bon, ça va. Pour le plupart des métros, il faut passer par Times Square (assez lourd). Je vous propose de vous servir du bus M42 pour traverser ouest-est au lieu de marcher 2-3 avenues à l'est pour le métro le plus proche.

La propreté des chambre laisse à désirer…la seule chose qui était faite au quotidien c’était le changement des serviettes et changement des poubelles…j’ai séjourné une semaine dans l’hôtel l’aspirateur n’a pas été passé même pas une seule fois, la poussière pas faite et la douche pas nettoyé non plus…. As many have said it's really dark inside and has more of a hostel type of vibe. Generally good and comfortable room, my main issue was being charged an early check-in fee of over half the cost of the stay (not informed in person or online) and no communication from staff. Upsides it's a decent price for a hotel in midtown Manhattan just make sure you wait to check in on time.

We were told upon arrival that our room was ready — yet were refused access unless we paid an additional $50 to check in before 4:00 pm. Charging guests extra for a room that is already prepared is not just unreasonable, it is exploitative. At the same time, we were warned to check out by 11:00 am or face a further $75 charge for a short extension. The combination of these policies feels less like hospitality and more like opportunistic upselling at every touchpoint. What is completely unacceptable, however, is the condition of the room itself. It was filthy. Not “slightly off” — genuinely dirty. Bathroom floors, corners, and overall cleanliness were neglected to a level that should never be seen in any hotel, let alone one charging these rates. We complained immediately on the first day and were assured the room would be re-cleaned. It wasn’t. It was returned in essentially the same condition, showing a complete disregard for both hygiene standards and guest concerns. This is not a minor service lapse — it reflects a fundamental failure in both management and basic hospitality principles.

Some furniture was very old. There was a large amount of water leaking into the hallway from the outdoor area in the middle of the building because it was raining at the time, and water marks on the carpet that showed this has happened before. There was only one microwave in the lobby.

The heating system is not adequate for colder days/nights. It blows out nothing but coolish air and the noise means it cannot be left on overnight. I had to wear additional clothes on three out of a 4 night stay.

The location is very good. AC in the room didn’t work well and the room was cold. Staffs were very nice. The room didn’t have any face towels, so we had to ask to bring them. The bathroom and floor were not clean well. If you just stay to sleep, it’s ok hotel.

This place was a total disgrace. First of all, it was completely false advertised. The place is called “The Hudson Yards” hotel but be advised this motel is no where near Hudson yards in New York City. This “hotel” is part homeless shelter, part motel. Literally. The Hudson Hotel still houses some of New York City’s unhoused asylum seekers. The place was extremely filthy and noisy. Homeless people banging on the other side of our hotel room screaming telling us to “shut up”. The television not working using a stolen Amazon fire stick. But the absolute worst part of it is when we told management about our broken tv in our room. He said he would send an “engineer” up to fix the problem. Thirty minutes later a man shows up to our room. Does not knock on the door. But instead uses a key fob to enter or hotel room unannounced while my wife is naked. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back for us. He laughed and smirked about it. This place was disgraceful. If you want to enjoy a decent stay in New York I would advise you to avoid this place at all cost.
