Cute placed located 3 minutes to the downtown C-B-S area. Room cute, basic, clean and smelled good. The only negative was the mattress was REALLY firm. The staff allowed a late check out. Parking was tight, but off street. If they invested in more comfortable mattresses, I would return!

This is a great location for exploring Carmel. Ocean Avenue is just two blocks away and you can park your car at the hotel and walk everywhere. We had a second floor room, which was spacious with nice amenities -- shampoo and conditioner in little bottles, instead of those things hanging on the wall and dripping. Minuses were no full length mirror and the hair dryer didn't put out much heat, so it took two to three times as long to dry hair. They do allow dogs, so yo hear barking from time to time. Our TV remote wouldn't work and we had problems with the TV, but staff worked hard to fix and by the second day it was OK, although the remote never worked. It seemed very quiet until the last night when woman next to us would make phone calls, shouting into the phone in a foreign language. Thankfully she didn't stay up past midnight, but ear plugs are a good idea. Staff, especially housekeeping, was super and front desk people are nice. They do daily housekeeping, which is wonderful!!!
