Wonderful place! The staff is great and the room was the perfect size with wonderful amenities! There are plenty of food options around and it’s about a 5 minute walk from the tram station! The room was a bit dusty. The soap dispensers in the men’s toilet on the ground floor were empty. I believe the photos of the rooms with a view of the castle had been photo shopped as I couldn’t figure out how it is possible to see the castle as show in the room photos, from any of the rooms. Excellent hotel. The only reason why we gave one less star for comfort was because, as visitors from Australia, we found the mattress to be very hard. It was the same at other hotels we stayed at in Japan. The hotel is within walking distance of the Matsuyama station or a short tram ride.

Nice location right by the castle park. We had a room with castle view, which was very nice. The room was small, but ok. Short walking distance from the train station.

walkable distance to the old Matsuyama castle, but a bit far from the JR station and also to the downtown/ centre area (Okaido), but tram can help of it
