Don’t stay here. I was on the ground level. They have a sliding glass that didn’t look properly so I had to put a chair in front of it all night, bathroom was about to collapse on while I was using it, the carpets needed a good cleaning, the whole room and hallways needed a good cleaning, the pool paint was pealing, cigaret buts all over the outside of the place, hallways smelled really bad, workout room had spyder webs, just a total disaster. When I arrived to check in this India guy using a toupee looked at me walking and didn’t say nothing until he was done with his cellphone. Next day at check out this lady with red hair was a little more polity but still rude also. Last time I stayed in mystic area is was a lot better, this time I did Haward Johnson but never again. No one should stay there, the pictures on the booking website are fake!!

Its a budget hotel, you get what you pay for. The rooms are old but clean. Beds fairly comfortable. Showers could definitely use an update but had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The staff was friendly. We didn't use the pool but it appeared clean. Our room faced the highway and was pretty loud as the slider to the balcony was very old. The hotel looks to be in the middle of upgrades so I would expect improvements in the coming month's. Overall its probably the best deal in the area. It has an attached diner, is walking diatance to the Aquarium, Shops and Seaport. If you are on a budget this place is for you.

The staff were amazing & pleasant. For the price it was nice and served the purpose. Exercise room had cardio equipment no weights. Pool was clean but had some age spots. The parking for our room was behind the building with no entrance. The view was a dumpster & what looked like an employee entrance. There was a eating establishment on the premises. All in all I would use this for another weekend getaway

The room worked but, there were some little things that could make it better. The sheer curtain against the sliding glass door had mold on the bottom, one of the beds had a sheet with a cigarette hole in it, had to watch the toilet because it would run through sometimes and, there was a small water leak around it in the back, also, the bathroom could use additional lighting. The most concerning part of the trip was the fire alarm was pulled during the night and, the alarm was not activated in our room. Luckily I hadnt fallen asleep yet and, recognized it as a fire alarm vs another guest's alarm on their phone. Parking lot was a good size, location was good and, the employees we encountered were friendly. The fire alarm incident has made my children say they never want to stay at another howard johnsons ever again.
