Very disappointing experience.
I booked through Hotels.com and selected 1 guest instead of 2, as the price was identical, so I assumed it made no difference. However, upon arrival, we were required to pay an additional fee for the second person.
I had contacted the hotel the day before to clarify this, but they stopped responding as soon as I asked about the reason for the extra charge.
At check-in, I was told they would ask the manager about a possible refund and get back to me on Monday. I have not heard anything since.
This is not about the fee, — it’s about the way the situation was handled and the lack of transparency and professionalism.
The hotel itself is fine, but I would think twice if you care about the standards of service and business ethics behind it.
