This place is in need of a lot of maintenance. Not being able to use the heat without risking a breaker trip, needing a sign to instruct on how to prevent it... that's a problem. Electrical issues should be addressed. I had birds wandering into my room because it didn't have a screen door. Old Zyn pouches flicked onto exterior walls and walkway, not cleaned up. Half the lights in the bathroom not working. Not great.

Place is run down. The room was clean however there was a dirty pillow case forgotten on the table. The gentleman that checked us in was super kind and happy. So that was nice. We drove to our room, to the left of it, there was a piece of the building falling off and roped off with hazard signs.

The pictures make the place look much nicer than it is. Outdated and not very clean. Our room smelled like cigarette smoke. We have to go and buy candles to help mask the smell. Breakfast was fine. The dinning area is not very big and only a couple tables to sit at. The view is the only positive thing I can say about this hotel.

Built in 1968, it appears they haven’t done much to the outside of the building to keep it up. I was concerned that the inside would match what I was seeing on the outside. Fortunately, the room was clean, although the carpet, couch, and chair seemed like they could use a good cleaning. They offer pet-friendly rooms, which was a plus. The bed was fairly comfortable, and it was nice to have a microwave and mini fridge available. The water pressure in the shower was great. That said, the front door did not seem to latch properly, and it didn’t feel particularly safe. The second night, they put a family directly above our room and the kid (or kids) proceeded to run back-and-forth for hours. It sounded like a herd of elephants, and it STARTED after 9:00pm. I mentioned this to the front desk at checkout and was told that most of their family rooms are on the second floor, which makes no sense to me. The location at itself is great, and there is a lovely view of the Astoria Bridge. The staff was friendly and helpful. Although a continental breakfast is provided, we did not partake. I honestly cannot say if I would stay there again.

The location is perfect for downtown events. The marina views were great. We stayed in the corner room just above the marina… The general condition of this hotel is lacking, money definitely needs to be put back into the place and the rooms need to be cleaned better.

We’ve stayed here before and loved it! The staff is so kind, and the location is right on the harbor and boardwalk. We had reserved a nice upstairs room with a view of the harbor, since we’re celebrating our 25th anniversary. When we arrived, they were having an issue with hot water, and since we booked a room with our dogs, we were put in a room in building C. This was not a nice room. The door handle came off in our hands, there were construction materials outside the door, the view was of a swampy little spot on the other side of the harbor. It was not nice and definitely not romantic.. With that said, when we’ve stayed before, we loved it. So this was just a bad experience. I do wish they had offered something to compensate - coupon to a brewery or waive part of the room cost or something. Disappointing this time around.

The rooms were nice and quiet - I didn’t hear a single neighbor and we were on the bottom floor. The staff was so kind in the morning, afternoon. And evening. We drove in late and checked in with the overnight folks and they were super kind and friendly - at breakfast and every other time they were all equally as lovely!!! The breakfast was yummy - everything was hot and fresh!!! We had a wonderful 5 day stay!
