Park Inn by Radisson Danube Bratislava
8/10 Good
"The room was clean. Had a lovely view of the Danube river and the UFO. Great location. In the old town with bars and restaurants over the road. Bus station also over the road if you are looking to get transport it is really easy. Good facilities, although you have to pay extra for the wellness centre if you have a basic room. This was not stated on Expedia before booking. It was €15 extra per day to book the wellness centre or the hotel sent me a message via Expedia stating we could book the wellness centre for €10 for one day. The steam room was broken. The pool was open and they had two saunas. Good selection at breakfast. Some of the food was cold however. Had a good night sleep. Did not really hear people in the hotel which was good. There is a club under the hotel. The club was not open as we stayed during the week but I can imagine it getting a bit noisy on a weekend if your room is on the first floor."
"The information on the advertisement is not correct. There is no breakfast area, you need to walk around 200m to another hotel. There is no lounge area on the top deck as advertised. At least, it was not opened at that time of the year. The hotel smells terribly, difficult to stay in and was expecting to leave as quickly as possible. The staffs of the day are not courteous, any request for information is replied unpolitelly: for exemple - any restautant recommended nearby? - answer, I dont know, I dont have time to dine here!
I am used to travel in many cities and staying in various hotels, as a platinum member of expedia, however, the information when I booked this one is misleading and honestly one of the worst I've stayed."
"The room was enormous and had good furniture but somehow missed the mark on decoration. We were disappointed that the coffee in the room was instant. For the money they shoukd try better"
"The main issues are that the bed is very noisy when one moves at night, the pillow is very flimsy, the duvet is a single duvet, not a double, and for a tall person, it does not cover the entire body.
Other than that, it is a great location, really large room, with super tall ceiling and very well priced."
"Stayed in premium double, which was spacious and comfortable. Unique, modern decor and exposed brickwork. Big walk in shower. Free mini bar with soft drinks and beer as well as tea, coffee making and chocolate biscuits. Room was also equipped with robe and slippers and toiletries. Hotel provides complimentary sweet and savoury biscuits on each floor late afternoon. Everywhere very clean and well maintained. Excellent buffet breakfast, taken in their adjoining pub restaurant which was also great for dinner if you don't want to walk 10 mins in to the town centre. Great place to stay."
