"This place is incredibly good value the food is fantastic and the staff just so lovely. Lots of entertainment if you want it easy to access the free bar and the restaurant if you choose the right spot does feel like a restaurant table service and great waiters. We loved this place and will definitely be coming back"
"Wonderful family hotel; however, it's lacking in simple things like a coffee station in the lobby for parents to relax while children play. Not everyone wants to drink alcohol, and to say it's a Muslim country, this was disappointing. The only food options in the hotel are by the pool and hotel restaurants. Restaurants were not open all day, so that was a no. The poolside restaurant options were not great. This hotel doesn't cater to gluten-free allergies. However, if you bring your own bread, wraps, etc., they were accommodating with making the food. Its a good hotel for young families and the slides make the entire trip worth it for the children.
Slide opening times 10am to 1pm
Close at 1pm to 3pm
Re open between 3pm and 5pm"
"I would strongly advise others to think carefully before booking RIU Tikida Dunas.
My stay was extremely disappointing from start to finish. On arrival, the room was not ready and I was initially given the wrong bed. Basic amenities were lacking throughout the stay. I requested an iron from the first day and despite repeated follow-ups, including visiting reception multiple times and receiving a message via the hotel app, I never received one at any point.
The most concerning issue was hygiene. There were consistently dirty plates and cups in the dining areas, and I even found ants in cups. Food handling practices were poor on one occasion staff handled pork and then attempted to prepare my food without changing gloves. When challenged, this was not handled appropriately. There was also no clear labelling of food and very limited halal options, which meant I had to purchase food externally despite being on an all-inclusive package.
Facilities were not functioning as expected, including drinks machines, and basic toiletries were not provided beyond soap and shampoo, as confirmed by staff in writing.
Staff were often unhelpful, dismissive, and difficult to communicate with, with little effort made to assist English-speaking guests.
Overall, this experience fell far below expected standards. The combination of poor hygiene, lack of basic services, and inadequate handling of complaints makes this a place I would not recommend."
"We had great time there perfect location environment lovely staff beds are very comfey room was bit small for us even it says its quadruple room but not a big issue only problem never get sitting for breakfast long queues for waiting ti get table and then times up for breakfast they ve more ppl and small place for dine . Option for food is not alot but its decent . Building is old but they still constructed new area and adding more things would definitely recommend and stay there in future. Nice and clean im very happy over all. "
"The hotel is quite dated. The room was fine, although I had contacted the hotel prior to arrival asking for a cot to be provided. When we arrived there was no cot, they didn’t bring it until gone 10pm which was so late as the baby couldn’t go to sleep until it arrived. They also only provided 2 towels for the 4 of us so we had to ask for that too. Our balcony was huge but it was shared between 3 rooms and so people would just walk past our room so not much privacy.
The pool was freezing cold so couldn’t really use it. The gym was really rubbish and shut for a lot of the day. The sauna you had to pay extra for and was only open certain times and my husband got asked to leave because it was women’s session even though no one was in there. The hammam I had was really nice, but the staff didn’t speak English so I had no idea what to do or what was going on. I have had hamman in the past where you can get a massage with it too but they didn’t seem to want to do that, really weird.
The kids club, which was mostly the reason why we picked this hotel was rubbish. We went one day and the staff left so we were unable to leave our child there. The next day it was shut and then the last day it was open but no one in there. When I went to seek them out they said they weren’t going in the kids club but would be playing football which my daughter wouldn’t want. It was really rubbish. They should have a timetable like other places and stick to it.
The hotel had a good location"
"Staff was really nice, hotel was accessible and clean. Food wasn’t great besides the Moroccan restaurant which wasn’t included in the half board. The main issue seemed to be the communication amongst the staff, we were told a lot of different things by different people, super inconsistent. This wasn’t anyone’s fault, again, staff was lovely, spa was great, but there were lots of little things, missing towels in room often, the bar not serving cocktails when more than a few people are in there, etc. Not a 5 star hotel at all but it wasn’t bad, won’t be staying here again though.
