We have been staying here for years and Eddie at the front desk is a great person to deal with. Eddie always smiling and makes check in fast and easy. The hotel is close to Main St, Boardwalk, and eateries.

Dirty room, dirty dinghy towels, dirty bathroom, air conditioner went out but maintenance man was at church so I had to wait hours till a room was available. Staff is skeleton crew. Lobby smells like cigarettes. No ice machines. You have to get ice from bar.

The location is great and parking is convenient but small. Definitely not a secure parking lot so don’t leave your belongings inside your vehicles. The room was not clean, the glass in the bathroom looked like someone used the same towel for the entire bathroom to wipe it down! The floor was grainy and sandy (which isn’t uncommon for a beach hotel). But this was just not cleaned well. Bed was worn out too. The place could use some TLC. Certainly could be nicer. I’d spend $50/night more and stay someplace nicer in the future.

What a miserable hotel stay. Your staff doesn’t care, doesn’t know anything about the area or the history of the property. No assistance towards dining or where to park the car with an overloaded lot. Property is surrounded by homeless folks crapping on sidewalk. All night long it’s slamming doors and drunken people yelling. I did not sleep and could not wait to leave. What a joke. Screw everyone associated with this disaster

Boutique type of place. Room was clean and nice. Bed comfortable and good for adult travel. The interior layout is strange but it is a property from a different era. Quiet inside not a bad location. If you don’t need frills, want a solid stay and do your own thing. Good place for it.

This is not a great choice unless you are a partier. The "rooftop bar" is actually a nightclub, and your walls will vibrate until 2 AM. In comments on other negative reviews, the hotel claims they make this well-known, but I disagree entirely. I've rechecked the Hotels.com listing - no mention of the noise. The first I saw of anything was when I checked in (at which point its kind of too late) where a notice said that noise "may spill over". Buried deep on the website is this statement "Our fourth floor rooms occasionally have sound overflow from our live music at the rooftop bar. Guests will be advised of this at check in and if necessary we will accommodate guests to lower floors." First, we were definitely not advised of this by the disinterested gentleman who did our check-in. Second, we were on the FIRST floor, and I could clearly pick out what songs were being played - and not exaggerating about the vibrating walls. I had an awful two nights of no sleep. Other little things to note: - All the doors slammed. Typically, hotel doors have measures in place to prevent this. We listened to slamming doors day and night. - Coffee maker didn't work (not a huge deal) - Mold and peeling paint in the bathroom - Pool is not heated (they don't claim it to be, but if you have kids who live for the pool like mine, take note.)

Room was dirty, hairs that weren’t ours, floor was dirty, bathroom had mold on wall near floor, ceiling in bathroom peeling. No housekeeping, elevator inoperable and our room was on the 4th floor. I have stayed at this hotel a few years ago and it was not like this.

The elevator was broken for three of the four nights we stayed, and we were on the 4th floor. The hotel clerk didn’t seem concerned or empathetic, and it sounded like this is a frequent issue, especially with heavy traffic from the nightclub on the top level. Guests with disabilities had to rely on family members to carry walkers and scooters up the stairs, which was unacceptable. We stayed 4 nights and not once did housekeeping check our room. Although we were told service was by request, it was clear only one person was working the entire hotel, and we didn’t want to add to the burden. As a result, no trash was removed, no towels were replaced, and only one roll of toilet paper was provided for our entire stay. Other guests requested towels that were supposed to be delivered, but they never arrived. They had to go down to the desk, where the clerk admitted she was avoiding the stairs. The walls were paper thin. We could clearly hear guests in the room next to us, people in the hallway, conversations across the hall, and loud music from the rooftop bar. We barely slept the entire time we were there. Cleanliness was also an issue. The bathroom vent was full of dust, and the corners of the tub were visibly dirty. Combined with the lack of housekeeping, this made the room feel poorly maintained. Front desk service was extremely unprofessional. The clerk remained on the phone while checking in guests and never put it down, complaining to whomever was on the phone.
