I had a very comfortable stay here and would love to stay again! The staff were so hospitable, making check-in very easy and care-free. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities required for a short stay. There were blackout blinds to make the room completely dark at night, and the sound insulation seemed very good as I couldn’t hear anything from the neighbouring rooms. The location is perfect, a short walk to all rhe onsens and the train station. I would fully recommend staying here for anyone looking for a relaxing experience!

The room, the staff, the private onsen, and the Kaiseki dinner were all amazing. The staff welcomed us in from the cold, took care of our bags, set us up with our own boots for the snow, and taught us how to tie up our yukata’s within minutes of arriving. It was an immersive experience that felt like a home away from home, and will forever be our favourite experience in Japan.

Wonderful stay! Our friends were late in arriving and they held dinner for them. The dinner and breakfast were amazing. The staff speaks limited English but worked hard to make everything perfect for our stay. I would recommend staying 2 nights to really experience Kinosake Onsen.

Kinosaki is a beautiful town and we were happy with our accommodations. This definitely wasn’t the most expensive ryokan but we were happy as we felt we got an authentic experience that fit our budget. The private open-air onsen you can rent was easily the highlight of our whole Japan trip. I wish we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after check out but otherwise would recommend!

We are a couple travelling Japan for a couple of weeks and found the property a lovely respite from the busy pace of the larger but amazing cities in Japan.

Perfect stay from check-in to check-out. Ideal location in the centre of everything, fantastic meals, kind and accommodating staff - especially Kaki. The room was updated and very quiet with a small balcony overlooking the river. The private onsen was particularly enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Amazing ryokan!!!!

We loved it here so much!!!! The inn is so beautiful and right in the middle of all the onsens. Also includes its own onsen. I have no complaints about this ryokan. I didn’t catch the name of the woman who checked us in but she was soooo lovely and spoke great English as well :) 10/10

A great experience in Kinosaki

The ryokan was run by very helpful and friendly staff who ensured we would enjoy of the local baths. The place was well-maintained and our room was spacious (10 tatami).

8/10 Very good

Overall a lovely place to stay. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The room was spacious and the breakfast was so cheap and delicious. The room was formerly a smoking room so it smelled very strong of cigarettes so that was not too enjoyable. And the Onsen wasn’t very well kept up compared to the other locations. Otherwise the location and price were great.

Perfect stay in kinosaki onsen. Free pass to all 7 public baths. Super traditional and quite a blast from the past. Everything is very old school and charming, with the exception of the toilet (brand new as Japan does).

Wonderful stay & friendly staff!

Everything was excellent! Front desk ladies were friendly even though I only speak a little Japanese. She even had one of the staff who speaks my language to help me. And there was a staff lady taught me and helped me dressed yukata. The room was amazing, clean, stylish, and each room has its own A/C. The only minus point was the wooden Japanese sandal they offer was really hard to walk in compare to what I saw on the street of other tourists wore from other hotels. Overall a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this place.

The property itself is spacious and the room I booked was well appointed; it is close to all the baths and an easy walk from the train station. The staff are extremely friendly and courteous- embodying true Japanese approach interactions. They gave tips for eating out and experiencing Onsen culture. I highly recommend staying here. I would stay here again on another visit to lovely Kinosaki Onsen. A special thank you to Kaki-san, Hara-san and Satoh-san. I appreciated your warmth and genuine welcome!
