Kun en enkelt fra personalet vidste, hvad service var. Der blev ikke hilst, naar man gik til og fra hotellet, og der var ingen hjaelpsomhed, fx da vi kun havde kontanter til en enkelt laaneparaply en dag, hvor det regnede fra morgen til aften. Morgenmaden var virkelig kedelig og langt fra, hvad man kunne forvente saadan et sted. Den havde i hvert fald ikke noget med amerikansk eller vestlig morgenmad at goere. Paa badevaerelset var mange af fliserne sat fast med bred, klar tape over fugerne! Paa vores vaerelse var der en massagestol, som var ekstremt slidt, saa vi havde slet ikke lyst til at bruge den. Rengoeringspersonalet hilste i oevrigt paent paa os. Det redede en del af opholdet, at der taet paa laa den dejligste cafe med det soeste personale. De var i hvert fald servicemindede og lavede rigtigt god mad og noget saerdeles flot bagvaerk.
