Clean room, older motel. Had everything we needed. Small refrigerator. AC is loud but works. Small bathroom/shower but stocks with soap, shampoo etc. everything is brown, beddings, bath towels etc

I have stayed in many hotels, motels and resorts. Plan your expectations accordingly when you look for a place to stay. Tip Top was a last minute need due to flight schedule. They are an older cinder block building near the airport which was my first requirement. 2nd they were clean. I check the cleanliness every f the bathroom which generally sets the time for overall cleanliness. 3rd access, we got in late and just needed somewhere to sleep that was quick in. They sent me the keyless entry code and I was able to check in online get in our room and leave with no fuss. Last safety, well lit and well cared for area so I felt safe arriving at 10:30 at night. Bonus is they have a great cafe for breakfast. Highly recommend, but caution you to remember it is a basic motel not a resort.

This is a basic accommodation for a budget traveler. It was clean and fine for us. The fact that the cafe was a local favorite increased the rating. Its proximity to the airport and primary roadways also was a plus.

Excellent value for money. Not a resort experience, but for the price it is worth it. If you are looking to spend most of your time outdoors as you should in Kauai, and just need a place to rest at night and good breakfast to start the day, this is your place. No frills that you pay for and don't use

Great location, however there was no hair dryer (I had to buy one from Walmart down the street). Check-in time is from 3pm and onwards, but front desk is only open 7am to 2pm. So basically if you run into any non-emergency) issues after checking in, you have to wait until the next morning to resolve it.

We really liked the central location to the town and airport. Easy access to the restaurant for breakfast. The internet was a little slow but so was data access on Tmobile. Often switching to LTE. So it is what it is. Area was older, hotel buildings also, but honestly that is what we were expecting. It is Kauai after all. The price was one of the better ones out there when not looking to go to a resort or pay resort prices. We would go back not expecting it to change much. That being the appeal for us.

Simple basic room the breakfast downstairs we ate there 4 days and tried different items. The oxtail soup was amazing. The Mac nut pancakes were my favorite. Overall solid for the price.
