Pros: excellent location, reasonable price, very helpful staff. Of particular excellence, even though the interior is old this was probably the cleanest hotel room that I have ever stayed in- their cleaning staff did a fantastic job. Considerations: WiFi worked well in the lobby but was very intermittent in the rooms. Walls are older and thin and with no staff on site my neighbors had no reservations about blaring their music until 2 AM. Bring noise cancelling headphones. Overall: Would stay again. Best accommodations I’ve had on the island.

We had to wait several hours to check in even though the rooms were ready. Nancy and the lady with short white hair were friendly and welcoming but the others not so much. The location was good if you don’t mind walking up a hill. No elevator and the wi fi kept cutting out. No coffee or jacuzzi. The hotel is old and run down. Still we made the best of it and enjoyed Avalon.
