The building is quite rustic and reception employees friendly. We were shown to our room which was in a different section of the building, it's an old building with winding stair case, old lift, lots of corridors with relics on the walls & then the room doors are quite narrow! The room was spacious with a large double bed, chair, wardrobe & desk with an old radio player & coffee machine, the decor was very rustic - window shutters used to frame a picture, bed headboard on the wall as another feature, side table lamps made our of steel pipes! All adding to the rustic look & feel until you then saw a modern TV on a shelf!! Personally I would take the TV's out as ruined the look of the room. The bathroom was a good size with a large walk in shower.
The breakfast room was back in the main building, simple affair with fruit, yoghurts, cereals, pastries, hot eggs & pancakes could be ordered separately. Everything you needed to start your day.
The area around the hotel was nice, fantastic view point directly across the hotel which was lovely.
A little bit noisy at night but you are in an area with bars & restaurants near by so to be expected, it's also a residential area so busy/noisy early morning, you can shut the window shutters completely which blocks most of the noise out.
Overall a nice hotel with rustic charm which was good value for money.
