I wanted to change my booking because of my ill father but wasn't able to because i’d already paid & was only the last minute we decided to go,i’m so glad we did such a beautiful old pub ,nice clean rooms,hot shower & even a complementary bottle of wine,just the break we needed & we’ll definately be back

This pub accommodation is the best ive ever stayed in chester, we stayed in the penthouse ,consisting of 2 large bedrooms and a stunning bathroom, it truly was amazing, would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone else, wondering where to stay, also the brealfast was huge also hot and delicious

Great stay. good location. room nice and warm. great shower. pub/hotel was lovely but expensive. The only complaint was 1 night the noise from outside, people shouting and swearing until late into night, not the hotels fault but it was there.

Clean and tidy lots of history beautiful listed build with quirky features (watch the stairs the treads are all sizes) Breakfast good and overall for the price great value. The only downside was noisy services glass recycling at 05:30 waking me up.

The room was clean and tidy with plenty of tea and coffee. The room was a bit cold at first but soon warmed up. I had a lovely hot breakfast and all the staff were great.

Check in was nice and simple, the room was ready early so we were able to check in earlier. The staff were polite and helpful and the room was amazing. Maybe a couple of bottles of water in the bedroom would improve the stay, other than that it was an amazing stay
