I highly recommend Aarran House, with its peaceful environment and comfortable bedrooms, along with helpful staff who showed us how to get around and provided a taste of the lovely food, which was the highlight: breakfast with a healthy variety of choices. The shower would regularly cut out whilst using it. Whilst my wife got ready, I used the bathroom across the hallway; although I locked the door, it turns out that this doesn’t actually lock the door, so another guest walked in on me. Being able to shower and not having other guests accidentally intrude upon me in the bathroom are basic expectations of a stay in any hotel. The hotel didn't even respond when I messaged them about this.

If you are assigned a room near the road, it can be very noisy. Even late at night, you can still hear many cars passing by, which makes it hard to get a good night's sleep. In addition, the basic room type does not have a private bathroom.
