We stayed at Jacob Lake prior to the scheduled May 15 opening of the North Rim. The hours of services were very limited. The restaurant was not open, however, we were able to get meals at the bar. Breakfast was not available until 8:00 am - not ideal for hikers and others wanting an early start. We were given a phone number at check-in to call if we encountered ANY problems. We left two messages, but never received a call back. There are no coffee pots or hairdryers in the rooms. Internet service is the slowest I have ever experienced. Our room in the motel was clean, except for ants and buckshot (?) pellets on the floor. This is a satisfactory place to stay if you need to be near the North Rim, and are okay with very basic amenities.

Great staff beautiful area world famous cookies from their bakery and great food from the kitchen!!! The stay was absolute wonderful and met all of our needs for grandsons deer hunt which also ended successfully!!! One of the best weeks of our lives and Jacob’s Lake Inn was a huge part of it!!! Sehr freundliches hilfsbereites Personal. Parkplätze vor der Tür. Super Lage zum North Rim Gran Canyon. Die Cookies sind sehr zu empfehlen und auch das Essen im angeschlossenen Restaurant war gut.

No coffee in room

No coffee in the room. Restaurant doesn't open until 8:00. Might be okay if you're on vacation, but I had to be at work at 8:00 without coffee or breakfast. Also no drinking glass in the room. Made tooth brushing inconvenient, and taking meds difficult.

Room was very nice. Restaurant food was good but the severs seemed to be inexperienced Surrounding area was kinda sketchy although we had no issues. Gas at the onsite station was outrageously expensive.

Highly recommended

We'd been through Jacob Lake many times before but had never had reason to stay there. In June, our North Rim Lodge reservation was canceled due to electrical problems in the Park. We were lucky to get a room at the Jacb Lake Inn and we really enjoyed our stay there. This is a lovely place.

Jacobs Lake Inn was comfortable, quiet and the staff was amazing. We stayed in one of the hotel rooms. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The patio outside of the room offered a lot of serenity.

It was close to the north rim of the grand canyon. The restaurant was great. It was great for a one night stay. The only thing I didnt like is that the motel rooms still use a key. Not huge deal but in order for the door to stay closed was to lock it from inside and tje outside. Annoying if you are sitting outside.
