Very safe place to stay in Sandton. It's a short walk to the shops, Nelson Mandela square and good restaurants. The pool is tiny but still good in the heat. The coffee spot in reception was great. It's great for young people but not really designed for young families.

We have stayed at black brick 1 and wanted to compare with black brick 2. From room keys not working 2/3 nights, to having noisy parties next door 2 nights in a row. I would say pick something else. I could talk about the "pool" that is really kid sized and breakfasts that needs improvement but why bother. The security guards are not friendly or helpful, which was disappointing.For the remainder of our stay we booked elsewhere. We did like how clean the place was and the inside staff were very professional. Id stay at black brick 1 again but not black brick 2. The breakfast, parking, rooms, security and general layout of black brick 1 is better
