We loved this hotel! It is in a fabulous location, right above the bus terminal, and a 5 minute walk from the Main Street. Hotel Ariston has a fabulous sea view. The hotel was spotless. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, always cheerful. Breakfast was amazing.. and plentiful. We loved the music in the evening . We enjoyed a few of evenings in the bar with Giuseppe the bar manager (his 39th year in Hotel Ariston! ) and Giovanni the hotel singer/pianist - he was fantastic!! Giovanni and Giuseppe sang a few duets together… just wonderful ! We will be back!

Would come back with no hesitation! Hotel was situated on a hill above the sea but with elevators it was totally assessible. Lovely pool, 2 min walk to the bus station that brings you to the train station for 1.1 euros! 4 minute walk to restaurants and 10 minute flat walk to Messina Gate which is where the beautiful streets with restaurants and shops are located. Just a perfect stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We had wished we were in the main building with some sort of balcony or view but our building was still maintained fairly well and we had a lot of space in our room! We really loved the area since it was very close to the cable car and to the historic city center. We also really loved the hotel for its views, terrace and views. It is important to note parking must be reserved ahead of time! And it is a short but hilly walk. There may also be a long walk to your room so that’s another note! The staff were all very friendly and helpful!

The property is nice once you find it and then traverse up the very steep hill to get there. Not great for older people that are unable to climb hills. The staff were very young and seamed to be in training. Parking is very expensive and around the corner down the steep hill. The room was okay, but the last room on the top floor for Expedia bookings! (See picture). Overall, we stayed in 8 hotels on our tour of Europe and this one was just average.
