Seems like this was a 5 star destination hotel about 40 years ago. Still nice, but dated. Quiet. Could use a little more TLC, but has a lot of great character.

Need to update rooms. The staff need to learn how to attend to guest and not be on their phones all the time. The breakfast was okay but wasnt really hot. Decided to stay a second day and found bugs in room kids running and screaming up and down hallways when we were trying to sleep starting at 7am. Wouldnt go in pool because no one cleaned it. Had a jacuzzi room and stuff was floating like jets werent cleaned. Over all probably wont be back and wouldn't recommend.

Our room had no towel racks, they had been removed and never replaced. There were bug and mouse traps. The thermostat did not turn the heat off and so it was extremely hot and wasteful. Many places were dirty. The hot tub was nice in the room but slippery. The breakfast was decent but not maintained. There were zero yogurts in the refrigerator only because no one was paying attention. The waffle maker ran out of mix. There is NO hot water for the oatmeal packets. The warm food was decent but not changed from day-to-day. The timer for the sauna was broken and a major fire hazard. We walked by it and it was on max HEAT with the timer not working. We turned it down. The bed was nice, the TV worked well.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while now and decided to finally go and I'm glad we did. Check in was smooth and quick. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool was warm and relaxing. Sauna felt great. The room we stayed in had a jetted tub and balcony. Bed was very comfortable and pillows were fluffy. When I stay anywhere I immediately check the bed for bed bugs (you never know) but all clear there and it even had mattress protector on it. The jetted tub was absolutely amazing. Plenty big enough for two people 😉 Breakfast in the morning was a great addition to the stay especially with it being free. This hotel has an old feel to it with its own charm. We will definitely go back .

Although off the beaten path it’s in a beautiful location. The room was clean and spacious with a small balcony. The young men running the front desk were so nice and helpful. The continental breakfast had a little bit of everything. There’s a nice pool area, numerous seating areas to sit and visit with the people you are with, and a restaurant/bar at the end of the parking lot! Looking forward to staying here in the summer and enjoying the beach/dunes/state park!
