I’ve room but hotel lacked any character. Not unexpected for a new build area. Infinity pool overlooking the beach was lovely but the second pool was built in a car parking area but the horrible second more modern block. Try and get a room in the older block! There is nothing in the local area other than a 10 minute walk to a local beach - which did have a restaurant it this closed early. However cabs were cheap and plentiful - from the hotel to the town square was 85pesos.

The staff were lovely. Room and property were spotless. Pools were out of this world beautiful. The views are absolutely amazing. The only drawback was lack of hot water in the room. Honestly though, it’s hot in Huatulco so taking a tepid shower actually cools you off!

Cleanliness was great, location and hotel are beautiful. The only reason I rated 4 stars is because the power went off for 3 hours during New Year's Eve. We ordered food for delivery and of course we couldn't eat in the darkness of our room, so we went to the bar. The staff was pretty upset that we were eating the pizza there as they have their New Year's event and we were "not supposed to eat there." I understand this in a different situation, but without power, were they expecting me to eat in the dark? They were super rude that night.
