Reception, main foyer and bar are well maintained im afraid the rooms are very dated and depends where you are. The rooms can be very noisey. Expecially if you are close to the bins or the heating units.

On arrival reception wasnt welcoming. Just minimal conversation to book you in. Hotel is tired and needs some tlc. The bar was extremely expensive. There was no one at reception on checkout. Just felt like there coukd have been more effort made.

worst check in ever experienced , Patricia at the front desk did everything in her power to make us feel unwelcome, she was backed up by her equally unhelpful / spiteful manager Noelia. Its a shame as the Hotel itself is a grand building with beautiful views over the sea facing the isle of white. The room we had was spacious with a comfortable bed . House keeping was sub standard though . If this hotel was taken over by a good hotel operator it could be a jem !

Very strange and confusing experience with parking registration ​ "I recently stayed at this hotel and encountered a very confusing situation at check-in. I noticed a tablet on the reception desk for parking registration. When I entered my car's registration number, the screen clearly displayed a message saying I had free parking for 24 hours. ​However, as soon as the receptionist saw this, they became visibly unhappy and told me I wasn't supposed to do that. They claimed that the free option on the screen was for 'other types of guests' and insisted that I had to pay for parking separately. To my surprise, the staff member then immediately moved the tablet out of my reach/sight. ​It felt very unprofessional and lacked transparency. If the hotel’s own system identifies a vehicle for free parking, why would the staff discourage using it and hide the device? It felt like I was being pushed to pay for something that the system had already cleared as free. I hope the management can clarify why there is such a difference between what the screen says and what the staff tells the guests."

Needs updating, furniture in bedroom chipped, scratched. Sink cracked and dust on bathroom floor in corners, mould around bath edge. Pool area rundown and a charge for towel. Expensive car park. Lovely big room with fantastic view. Staff very helpful, friendly and polite. Good breakfast choice. Loved Christmas decorations.

We had a lovely stay here for 1 night. We had a family room which is very spacious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We used the pool and sauna which is a great facility of the hotel. The only thing I would say that need an upgrade are the showers, they are very low pressure but are lovely and hot. We'll definitely stay here again.

We stayed for 1 night with our dog. The room was nice, clean & very spacious. Check in was very smooth & the lady on the desk very friendly & helpful. Shame we couldn't stay for longer as the leisure facilities looked good. Great location to the beach & only a short walk into town. Parking is payable on arrival as run by a private company but plenty if spaces.

All of the staff were lovely. Great check in. Loved the charm and uniqueness of this Victorian hotel! My children enjoyed the pool (although the water was a little murky- perhaps the chlorine levels or filter needed looking at?) nice sauna and changing areas all lovely and clean. We enjoyed a drink in the bar. Loved the location right across the road from the beach and close to the town centre. The family room was huge which we really appreciated! Coffee and tea in the room which was great. Parking extortionate so we parked across the road on the meter for half the price. All in all we had a wonderful stay. Well done best western!
