After staying at a couple of budget motels on our trip, the Catalina Canyon Inn felt like a resort. Our room was nice and big and clean. The lobby has a good assortment of snacks and there's a restaurant, but there is no free breakfast. There is a pool and no hot tub. It is quiet at night. Here's the only caveat: the inn is located at the top of a hill. It's about a 15-minute walk from downtown. *I don't recommend attempting to walk there with your luggage from the ferry.* They run shuttles (aka minivans) to the ferry terminal and downtown; they sit 5 people. You can also hail a taxi if the shuttle is full. BUT if it's a hot day and the taxis and shuttles are busy, you're probably gonna have to sit and wait for a while.
