The hotel is in a nice location, pretty clean and updated enough. I did have problems while there. There is clearly a non smoking policy and my second night I was there my room filled with smoke from the neighboring room and the hotels choice was to make me move my room instead of kicking them out. This was a huge undertaking and quite frankly ruined my stay. Not only the situation but how the hotel handled it. I will most likely find a different hotel when I am back in Fortaleza next time. Disappointed for sure, I expect more out of hotels I stay at. Too many other hotels on the strip to deal with the conditions here.

It’s sad to see the decline of this hotel, which was once one of the top hotels in Fortaleza. From the lobby to the gym, it’s easy to notice how the property has been abandoned and poorly maintained over the years. The wooden furniture in our room was worn out, with broken corners and splinters everywhere. The bathroom made no effort to hide its advanced age. The common areas looked like those of a roadside motel. The staff seemed unmotivated, always looking upset. We had to ask four times for an extra pillow that never arrived. The only good thing about the hotel is the generous view of Meirelles Beach and Volta da Jurema — beautiful. In short, it’s a shame to see the hotel in this condition. We hope the new management succeeds in restoring it, as it has one of the best locations in Fortaleza and enormous potential.
