During my stay at The Lost Camel in Ayers Rock, I was thrilled to receive an early check-in, allowing me extra time to explore Uluru. The hotel's location was incredibly convenient, with close proximity to shopping centers and restaurants. However, I did notice a slight odor from the air conditioning system. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with great accessibility.

Clean room but the air conditioner could not keep up and the high temperature was only 92 degrees during the first week of fall. I cannot imagine how miserable it would be during the summer.

It would be nice to have a desk/chair in the room to work on a laptop. It was strange to see Aboriginal children running around the pool. Clearly, they were not allowed in the pool. Hopefully they have their own pool to utilize. LOVED the painting class. Good talk at the art gallery about Aboriginal art. Beds and bedding very comfortable. Nice big shower. Dinner buffet at Sails was not worth the money. We started at 7:30 PM and lots of empty serving dishes (lamb chops, only 2 slices of ham carved, 3 pieces of kangaroo, etc). No one manning the pasta station or the carving station. Definitely NOT worth the money. Lunch at Geko Cafe was fine and host very friendly. I found the staff on the whole (front desk, Noah bartender) to be less friendly than the Aussies we encountered. aboriginals looked miserable and never mad eye contact, spoke to us or engaged us in any way. All in all, glad we visited, but it is one and done.

Nice pool. Dining was limited & not very good food or drink. Female waiter was rude at Gecko’s. IGA at the resort was a convenient place to get snacks & water. Bugs & flies were horrendous & relentless; our bug nets over our hats were essential

Expensive rooms due to monopoly at site. The Lost Camel was not the most expensive but it was right up there with one of the most expensive rooms my wife and I have ever stayed. No other options to spend the night if viewing the Rock. We had a wonderful vacation and experience. Nothing bad to say except for the huge expense for hotels rooms, rental cars, and price of bus tours.

Unser Zimmer war ein Durchgangszimmer, wo sich die Tür zum Nebenzimmer nicht verschließen ließ. Glücklicherweise haben wir es zeitig bemerkt und bei der Rezeption beanstanstandet. Nach längerem warten haben wir auf Nachdruck ein anderes Zimmer erhalten. Das war sehr ärgerlich.
