Went to Sarasota for my kids rowing tournament. All places to stay in the area were around the $500 a night range. I found this place for less than half that and took a chance. I was nervous about what it would look like being so inexpensive. Good location, clean rooms and a great welcome by the staff. The only complaint was that the TV was not a smart TV and I couldn’t stream any movies. Not much of a complaint.

Room had multiple cockroaches crawling all around, shower didn’t work completely, room had mold on shower door as well off putting smell throughout entire hotel. The gym lights don’t stay on so after 1 minute they automatically turn off as well as it’s an extremely small gym even for hotel standards.

The WoodSpring Suites in Bradenton was adequate for our 1 night stay. The room was barrack-like and stark. The bed while comfortable had only 2 pillows for 2 people. There was only one desk chair in the entire room. The bathroom was the only stand out feature of the room. Large and clean with a good walk-in shower.

The staff is friendly. This is a hotel frequently used by workers performing jobs away from home; it offers no frills or extras—if you need an iron or a hair dryer, you must bring your own. It does feature a large refrigerator, a two-burner ceramic stovetop, and a microwave; however, it does not provide pots, pans, plates, or cutlery. If you plan to stay here for several days and do not wish to eat out at restaurants, be sure to bring your own kitchenware. A Publix supermarket is located just a few minutes away, where you can purchase everything you need to prepare your meals. During my stay, the hotel was under renovation, and every day—including Sundays—construction machinery would wake you up with the noise.
