Warm welcome and my boys really loved the drinks and chocolate left for them in our room. Great having access to the pool/spa, lovely grounds and good food in the bar. Breakfast was also good, although the kitchen were stretched trying to keep pace with demand for hot breakfast items from guests at the previous day's wedding! We'll be staying there again!

Generally old, worn out furniture, bathrooms … everything needs to be refreshed and updated. Keep the character about the building but it really needs a fresh look overall. The wing stable room that we stayed in for 1 night was cold but after telling the receptionist, she gave us a better room upstairs in the main building. The cleanliness the bathrooms leaves you with a disgusting feeling - we found the toilet seat really dirty! Overall, a nice stay, quiet & beautiful location and a lovely breakfast.

Fantastic, our room was lovely and spacious, we stayed a couple of nights and breakfast was delicious. We also had an evening meal in the 1630 bar which was perfect for dining with our dog.
