Great location! The staff were great and always very helpful. We could not have asked for better. The breakfast had a lot of choices and was excellent. The parking and access was a little tricky, but the communication system around it, along with the staff help was very good. One minor comment. There was a minor smell in the room, perhaps due to musty carpet. Each night I acclimated. But if you have allergies, that may be a problem for you. I loved the staff!

We had a really bad experience at Mercure Rouen Centre Cathedrale. The service in the restaurant was among the worst we have seen in all our life. In the end when paying the bill the guy had the cheek to ask us we wanted to sign a separate bill for the tip as he could not add the tip to the main bill! We firmly and politely said no. That experience just ruined our whole stay and we cannot give any better marks than what we have done. We would appreciate it if the hotel could reply and include an e-mail address to a manager to whom we can send a more detailed feedback of our experience.
