I stayed at Embassy Suites by Hilton Palm Desert and honestly, it was very underwhelming. First off, it’s advertised as being close to Palm Springs — it’s not. It’s a solid 25–27 minute drive without traffic, which makes going back and forth for plans, outfit changes, or anything spontaneous extremely inconvenient. The pool is tiny compared to how it looks in photos, and it was packed with kids nonstop (likely due to spring break), making it hard to enjoy. For the price—especially even considering pre-Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and spring break—the condition of the hotel is not acceptable. The room felt old, worn down, and far from fresh. There was a strong unpleasant odor, stained carpets, and overall it just didn’t feel clean. Maintenance issues were everywhere: broken blinds and curtains, poor sink drainage, damaged ceiling fixtures, and extremely loud air conditioning that made it nearly impossible to sleep. On top of that, the noise level was terrible—thin walls, loud floors, constant neighbor noise, and metal gates/doors slamming at all hours. The bathroom was very small and outdated. Breakfast hours were inconvenient, so I didn’t even try it. They offered two free drinks, but that didn’t really make up for anything. The only positives: staff was friendly, check-in was fast, and parking was easy. That said, charging $15 for parking on a property with this much space feels unnecessary. Overall, very disappointing and not worth the price.

Hotel was ok. Staff was nice. Long line to get omelets in the morning and breakfast was only until 9 am, too early for spring break with kids and a check out at 11 am. Pool was not very clean. Overall an ok hotel but not great for the price (you pay an extra $15/night for parking as well)

Definitely not a place I would recommend staying at. The first room we were provided did not cool down, the AC was not working properly. They tried to fix it and after being in the room for about 4 hours we had to pack everything up and moved to another room that seemed smaller but the AC was working only to find out later that the bathroom door did not close. We went down to the lobby to inform them, only to be told that maintenence waa done for the day and no one could go check on it. We had five people on our reservation and were only provided 3 hand towels and 3 bath towels. We had to go to the lobby and ask for additional towels. The room we were moved to had someone's personal items in one of the drawers, the items were turned in to the staff at the reception area. The two rooms we were in were had several carpet stains, dirty walls, dirty lamps, dirty couches, along with worn furniture. The trash cans around the property had overflowing trash and filthy floors, they definitely need more housekeeping all around including a good pressure washiing. I took out my own trash to the big trash can at the end of the hall several times, which should be cleared out from there by housekeeping a few times a day. On one of the nights I took out my trash and placed it in the trash can around 8pm only to still find it there the next morning when I passed by around 11am. The pool was another story, some days it was so filty with moths, bees and other debris, along with murky water.

Our stay was amazing, the staff was outstanding but the hotel showed some wear and tear in the room. We overlooked the age of our surroundings and enjoyed our time. We especially noticed the Bar staff Kenny. He was fun, knowledgeable and versatile. We will definitely come back.

Could not reach front desk from room nor the hotel from outside the hotel. Phone just rang… no phone tree or vm option. Staff was unaware when I told them the first night but not concerned. The fourth day they acknowledged there was a problem but didn’t know why or if it was being resolved. We called corporate Hilton to report it and they could not reach ES either. Housekeeping was not every day. Didn’t mop wet dirty bathroom floor. I requested towels and mopping on 3rd evening but housekeeping had left so I tipped laundry person to do it. (Becky - thank you) Laundry room had an out of order sign on door. Hotel side entrance door near our room could not be opened wide as the arm hinge was hanging loose blocking opening. Reported that and they dismantled hinge/arm so it was always open. Breakfast food was fine but the buffet setup was disorganized. Ex. Knives spoons in one area but forks across room. Pull out couch had horrible mattress. Antonio (great!) came to put sheets on it and offered a topper. Not much better so I requested another flimsy topper on second night and had a bit less pain in morning. Need to replace mattresses in couches or get better toppers. Didn’t appear to be managed or maintained. Expected more from a Hilton ES. Will not stay there again.

Very disappointed in the condition of the room, very outdated compared to the photos on the website, our room had spider webs, walls were dirty, bathroom was so tiny you are basically on the toilet while washing your hands in the sink. The condition of the bathroom is kind of sad, paint pealing, dirty doors, the exterior grounds were in much better condition than the rooms. This weekend was supposed to be special for my husband’s birthday but the room was definitely a disappointing factor.
