Sainsbury is just a short walk from the hotel and Bothams have opened a cafe just up the road. Bothams started as a bakery selling goods from a basket at the market, it has grown into a Whitby succes story and well worth a visit. It gets busy, because it is good. Whitby centre is a short drive away, but the parking is expensive, so a take a walk down the hill, it is only half an hour.
