"When I arrived the system was down therefore the room keys did not work and the staff had to let the visitors in and out of the rooms. I was given a room that was dirty. My phone broke the same day of arrival and I was unable to make reservations for the restaurants on the resort in which was very upsetting because I wanted to do something special for My Son’s Birthday! The staff would not make an exception! MOST of the female staff workers inside of the restaurants were very rude and made me uncomfortable to even want to ask for anything. I thought my reservation included the Beach view and a tub. I could hardly see the beach from my side and was given a shower only with 2 small children. The food selection was not that great. Overall, I would give this stay a 4/10!"

"I am giving this stay two stars only because of a few positive interactions with specific staff members; otherwise, the management and operational failures would warrant a lower rating. This is an outdated property that suffers from a severe lack of leadership and efficiency. The Check-In & Lobby Experience The "service" model here is baffling. Every guest is attended by two staff members simultaneously, yet this does not make the process faster or smoother. In fact, checking in was significantly delayed. The lobby is filled with staff roaming around, seemingly with the sole intention of ignoring customers. Room Quality & Service • Missing Essentials: Basic items like washcloths and hand towels are apparently not part of the regular room setup. We had to call multiple times just to get these delivered. • Communication Breakdown: Obtaining a simple active folio or getting a clear answer on where resort credits could be used felt like a mission rather than a basic request. The Checkout Disaster Checkout took a grueling 45 minutes. There was only one person working the front desk while five concierge staff congregated in the lobby nearby; not a single one was willing to step in or assist their colleague. Furthermore, the staff gave us a very hard time regarding our prepaid Expedia transportation, repeatedly attempting to double-charge us despite proof of payment. "I went there 2 time and I guess since Hurricane they had everything changed not for the good ..the food was not all that and the room was not all that ..my room the tv was not working we called no answer then .my friend didnt get her room until 6pm ..I order a 2 bed and got one bed they give one room then when we went to room someone was already there fro. A 5 start hotel to me it went down 2 starr ..never again"

"Our first trip to Jamaica (April 13–19) at Ocean Coral Spring was largely a great experience with one major issue. The resort is beautiful, with a grand entrance and relaxing atmosphere. Staff are friendly, though more reserved and on “island time.” We stayed in a spacious, clean suite with a comfortable bed, double-head shower, balcony swing, hot tub, and a lovely partial ocean view—perfect for peaceful mornings and evenings. Food and service were strong overall. We enjoyed Martha’s Market and the Privileged Lounge, and the butler service was excellent—attentive and accommodating. Unfortunately, our final night put a damper on the trip. During a paid dinner, a live maggot was found on the shrimp, which immediately killed our appetite for the rest of the stay. Staff handled it professionally—the chef apologized, alternatives were offered, and the charge was removed—but the incident raised concerns about food safety and overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable vacation. Overall, it’s a beautiful resort with great amenities and service, but improved food handling practices are needed to ensure a consistently positive guest experience."
