The Marker has great style - two lovely sitting rooms with fireplaces on the first floor and a great bar and restaurant. The staff were really kind and well informed about the city, including mass transit. I took great walks from here to Fisherman’s Ward and several museums and interesting neighborhoods. "Really lovely stay. Excellent staff and my room was HUGE and clean. The neighborhood isn't the greatest, but the hotel takes you right out of that vibe and turns it into a relaxing environment. I will definitely be recommending this hotel for anyone headed to SF."

"Modern, elegant and eclectic vibe throughout. Rooms well-appointed, though bathroom could use a little more counter space. Easy room service app and food was reasonable and surprisingly good. Rooftop bar is beautiful. Not the best area of town, but super close to the theaters and felt safe walking to and from the show. Definitely will be a repeat visitor here."

We were able to walk to the nearby Orpheum theatre to see a show—very convenient—but the area feels a bit scary at night. SF is doing better than it was a few years ago, but there is still progress to be made. "
