"It was a nice hotel, very odd layout but rooms where clean and bathroom was nice and modern. Staff were attentive and very approachable. There was a pool table and darts in the bar area with some nice seating. Food was nice and breakfast buffet was a nice touch. Close to tram and train station to get into the city. Only a few minutes drive to media city too so good area. "

"The room was exactly how described and was suitable for our 2 night stay, being walkable to Old Trafford. Biggest let down was the fact that there was no fridge in the room, air conditioning wpuld switch itself off leaving us in a hot room during the night, and breakfast was over cooked both mornings (leaving my 6 year old to vomit due to how dry the hashbrowns were after being so overcooked). The lady on reception was fantastic and extremely accommodating during our stay - had issues entering...

I marked it down just because the pool changing area is a bit rundown and the veg curry did not live up to the marketing! Presentation could be improved. Rice was served in clumps. Needed a little more sauce and more care with the presentation. "

"The house was under refurbishment and new ownership but this did not affect my stay at all. It is well placed for trams and rail links, and main roads. I was able to travel in from Chester area and around South Manchester without going into the centre of town. Lovely walks along the Bridgewater Canal and plenty of places to get a bit of shopping nearby. Very comfortable and well furnished, reasonably priced, a welcome change from hotel chains with no individual character. Would recommend."
