"I recently stayed at Motel One Spittlemarkt over New Years. My room was very clean and comfortable. I was a 2 minute walk from U-Bahn Line 2 which made getting around the city easy. The hotel is also within easy walking distance of all the major sites in central Berlin. As a solo, mature female traveler, I felt very safe and comfortable in this part of Berlin. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the lobby was a fun place to hang out while waiting for an Uber. (There's an archaeological dig under the glass floor of the lobby which is so interesting!). "
